80TH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION AT ST. JOHN’S ENGLISH HIGH SCHOOL, ALLIPADE

Introduction
St. John’s High School, Allipade celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with immense patriotic fervour, unity, and pride. Students, faculty members, school management, and distinguished guests gathered on the school grounds to honour the sacrifices of freedom fighters and celebrate the spirit of nationhood.
Key Highlights of the Event
Arrival & Parade Formation: The event commenced with students assembling in disciplined formations across the parade ground, dressed in their school uniforms and wearing vibrant tricolour sashes.
Flag Hoisting Ceremony: Chief Guest Mr. Vijay Dsouza, accompanied by school dignitaries including the Reverend Sisters and faculty leaders, hoisted the National Flag near the central flag post.
March Past & Salute: Students rendered a disciplined march-past, marching past the flag mast in orderly files while offering respect and salutes to the Tricolour.
Patriotic Choral Performance: A choir group of students gathered around the microphone station to perform patriotic songs, filling the environment with national pride and harmony.
Address by Sr. Deepa: Sr. Deepa addressed the gathering. She spoke about how each individual is responsible for taking care of the country. She emphasized the role of youth in building a stronger nation and commending the institution’s commitment to holistic education and discipline.
Conclusion
The 80th Independence Day celebration concluded on a grand note, leaving everyone inspired with national pride and a renewed commitment to serve the country.
Patriotic Solo Dance and Singing Competition
St. John’s High School, Allipade, organized a Solo Dance and Patriotic Singing Competition as part of the Independence Day celebrations.
The event provided students with a wonderful platform to showcase their talents and express their love for the nation.
The students participated enthusiastically and presented melodious patriotic songs and energetic dance performances. Their confidence, creativity and stage presence made the programme lively and memorable.
The event successfully brought together patriotism, talent and enthusiasm, inspiring the students to take pride in their country and its rich heritage.
Feast of Blessed Anne Marie Javouhey
Feast of Blessed Anne Marie Javouhey the foundress of Sisters of St. Joseph of cluny was celebrated at St. John’s High School, Allipade.
St. John’s High School, Allipade, joyfully celebrated the Feast of Blessed Anne Marie Javouhey on 11 July 2026. The programme began with a meaningful prayer service conducted by the students of Class X, invoking God's blessings through the intercession of Blessed Anne Marie.
A well-presented skit depicting the life and mission of Blessed Anne Marie Javouhey helped the students appreciate her courage, faith, and dedication to the poor and marginalized. Princia of Class IX delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the life, vision, and legacy of our Foundress. Melodious songs by Class VIII and vibrant dances by Class IX added colour and joy to the celebration.
Addressing the gathering, the Correspondent, Sr. Narcisa Sequeira, spoke on the virtues of Blessed Anne Marie Javouhey, encouraging the students to imitate her faith, compassion, courage, and spirit of service.
The entire programme was beautifully organized under the able guidance of Sr. Socorina Fernandes, Assistant Headmistress, and the dedicated staff members, making the celebration a memorable and enriching experience for all.
May Blessed Anne Marie Javouhey continue to inspire the students and staff to live lives of faith, service, and love.
INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2026–2027
The Investiture Ceremony of St. John's English High School, Allipade, was held with great solemnity and enthusiasm on 1st July 2026. The ceremony marked the formal installation of the newly elected Student Council for the academic year 2026–2027.
The programme began with a prayer, invoking God's blessings upon the newly elected leaders. The dignitaries were warmly welcomed, followed by the lighting of the lamp, symbolising wisdom, knowledge, and service.
The newly elected leaders were then invested with badges and sashes as a mark of the responsibilities entrusted to them. The student council members included Head Boy Muhammad Mustaq, Head Girl Larissa Pais, Assistant Games Captain Pranav Shetty, Games Captain Leesha Pais, Jyothi House Captain Hitha Shetty and Assistant House Captain Disha, Keerthi House Captain Sheerya Shetty and Assistant House Captain Winston Pinto, Neethi House Captain Melvita Tauro and Assistant House Captain Saanvi Shetty, and Shanthi House Captain Pranavya Prabhu with Assistant House Captain Ritesh.
The badges were conferred by Correspondent Sr. Narcisa Sequeira, Sr. Tresa, House Master Ronald Valder, and House Mistresses Prathima, Reshma, and Sangeeta. The newly elected leaders then solemnly took the oath of office, pledging to uphold the values of the school with sincerity, discipline, integrity, and dedication.
Sr. Narcisa Sequeira, Correspondent of the school, congratulated the young leaders and encouraged them to lead by example, work in unity, and serve the school community with commitment and humility. She reminded the students that true leadership is rooted in responsibility, honesty, and selfless service.
The ceremony concluded by singing the School Anthem.
The event inspired the newly elected council members to carry out their duties faithfully and motivated all students to strive for excellence in leadership and character throughout the academic year.
