Birthday Celebration of Rev. Fr Robert Dsouza
On 29th March 2026, the birthday of the Parish Priest Rev. Fr Robert Dsouza was celebrated at St. Antony Church, Allipade.
After the Holy Mass, the parishioners gathered in Souharda Sabhabhavana Hall. The programme began with a welcome address by the Coordinator of 22 Commissions Mr. John Walder. This was followed by the cake-cutting ceremony.
Parish Council Vice President Mr. Ronald Pais and Cluny Convent Superior Sr. Narcisa Sequeira shared their greetings. Rev. Fr. Robert Dsouza then gave his birthday message.
Parish Council Secretary Mr. Vinod Sequeira proposed the vote of thanks. All the faithful extended their birthday wishes to the priest.
The program was compered by Ms. Deepthi Dsouza. The celebration concluded with the serving of delicious refreshments to all, adding a warm and joyful touch to the gathering.
Palm Sunday
On Sunday, 29th March 2026, Palm Sunday was solemnly celebrated at St. Antony Church, Allipade, with great devotion and spiritual fervour.
The celebration began with the blessing of Palms by the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Robert Dsouza. The faithful then participated in a grand and prayerful procession, reverently carrying the blessed palms, commemorating the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem.
The entire church community gathered in large numbers and took part in the procession with deep faith and devotion, creating a truly prayerful atmosphere.
Following the procession, the Holy Eucharistic Celebration was conducted in a solemn manner. The liturgy inspired the faithful to reflect on the significance of Palm Sunday and prepare their hearts for the Holy Week.
The celebration concluded with all the faithful actively participating with devotion, marking the beginning of the sacred journey of Holy Week.
Lenten Retreat – 2026
A three-day Lenten Retreat was prayerfully organized at St. Antony Church, Allipade on March 20, 21, and 22, 2026. The retreat was a spiritually enriching experience for the parish community.
The retreat was conducted by the Redemptorist Fathers, Rev. Fr. Rakesh Mathaias and Rev. Fr. Nishth Lobo, who guided the faithful through inspiring reflections, meaningful prayers, and deep spiritual insights.
Throughout the three days, the parishioners participated with great enthusiasm and devotion. Their active involvement and prayerful presence created a serene and grace-filled atmosphere, helping everyone to grow closer to God during the Lenten season.
The retreat truly became a time of renewal, reflection, and spiritual strengthening for all who attended.
Men's Day Celebration at St. Antony Church Allipade
On Sunday, 15 March 2026, St. Antony Church Allipade celebrated Men's Day with great enthusiasm. The day began with a special mass led by Parish Priest Rev Fr. Robert D'Souza.
A special prayer was offered for the men, invoking blessings and strength. All the men were presented with gifts as a token of appreciation.
Women's Day Celebration at St. Antony Church Allipade
On Sunday, 8th March 2026, St. Antony Church Allipade came alive with joy and festivity as Women's Day was celebrated with great fervor. The day began with a special mass led by Parish Priest Rev Fr. Robert D'Souza.
A special prayer was offered for the women, seeking blessings and strength for them. The women were also given gifts as a token of appreciation.
The celebrations continued in the church's Mini Hall, where a special Women's Day program was organized. It was a day filled with prayer, love, and camaraderie, making it a memorable one for all the women present
Catechism Day Celebration at Allipade Church
Catechism Day was solemnly and joyfully celebrated on Sunday, 1 March 2026, at St. Antony Church, Allipade. The occasion brought together clergy, catechism teachers, students, parents, and parishioners in a spirit of thanksgiving and renewal of faith.
The celebration commenced with the solemn Eucharistic Celebration. The Holy Mass was presided over by Rev. Fr. Roopesh Madtha, the Editor of Raknno, Konkani Weekly, as the main celebrant. He was joined by the Parish Priest Fr. Robert Dsouza and Fr. Roopesh Tauro as concelebrants. The catechism students and teachers actively participated in the liturgy, contributing meaningfully through readings, offertory, and choir, thereby enhancing the solemnity of the celebration. At the conclusion of the Mass, the catechism teachers were felicitated with token of appreciation in recognition of their dedicated and selfless service in imparting faith formation to the children of the parish.
The formal programme was subsequently held in the Church Hall. The dignitaries present included Rev. Fr. Roopesh Madtha, Parish Priest Fr. Robert Dsouza, Parish Council Vice President Mr. Ronald Pais, Secretary Mr. Vinod Sequeira, Cluny Convent Superior Sr. Narcisa Sequeira, Catechism Coordinator Ms. Deepthi Dsouza, along with catechism teachers, students, and parents.
The programme commenced with a formal gathering, followed by addresses from the dignitaries, who emphasized the vital role of catechism in nurturing spiritual growth and instilling Christian values among the younger generation. Their reflections highlighted the shared responsibility of clergy, teachers, and parents in guiding children towards a deeper understanding of faith.
The Prizes were distributed to deserving students in recognition of their academic excellence, regular attendance, and active participation in catechetical activities. The students also presented meaningful cultural programmes, reflecting their talents and enthusiasm.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to all who contributed to the successful organization of the event. Catechism Day 2026 thus stood as a meaningful occasion of thanksgiving, encouragement, and renewed commitment to faith formations within the parish community.
Church Annual Feast Celebration – 2026
ವ್ಹಡ್ಲೆಂ ಫೆಸ್ತ್ – 2026
The Annual Feast of St. Antony Church, Allipade was joyfully and devotionally celebrated on February 11, 2026.
The auspicious occasion began with the distribution of honours and Murdom candles to the generous donors of the feast, as a token of gratitude for their valuable support and contribution.
The solemn Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Most Rev. Fr. Victor D’Souza, Parish Priest of Infant Jesus Church, Madankapu, and Vicar Forane of St. John Varado, Bantwal. His inspiring presence and prayerful leadership added spiritual depth and grace to the celebration.
The liturgy was thoughtfully prepared and reverently conducted by the members of the parish. Around 23 priests from the Bantwal Deanery, along with guest priests, concelebrated the Holy Eucharist, enhancing the solemnity and spiritual significance of the feast.
At the conclusion of the celebration, the Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Robert D’Souza expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all the donors, volunteers, parishioners, and well-wishers who contributed generously towards the success of the feast. He sincerely appreciated their cooperation, dedication, and unwavering support, which made the celebration truly meaningful and memorable.
The feast brought the faithful together in a spirit of prayer, thanksgiving, and unity, marking yet another blessed milestone in the spiritual journey of St. Antony Church, Allipade.
